Priyanka Chopra arrived to her homeland and walked the ramp for a fashion show a couple of hours ago. Once again, she made her fans realize that she was indeed the international superstar who was way above everyone’s league. Her easy gait on the ramp and sheer confidence was stunning and the way she carried her black ensemble gave ramp-walk goals to many. And while the diva looked gorgeous in her strapless gown with a sheer cape, Priyanka’s words truly moved the audience. Taking a moment to speak about the late designer Wendell Rodricks, PeeCee reiterated how he was a pioneer and a visionary in the Indian fashion world.
Speaking after her walk, Priyanka spoke about the designer who’s unfortunate death left the fashion industry in shock. Priyanka said, “It’s only apt on a night like this in the presence of so many luminaries from the Indian fashion industry that we remember Wendell Rodricks. He was a pioneer, he was a visionary of Indian fashion and he will always and forever be missed.”
Speaking of Wendell Rodricks, the veteran designer passed away in Goa on February 12. He is survived by his husband Jerome Marrel who later posted an emotional note on Wendel’s social media handle thanking everyone for their condolences.
