Vicky Kaushal pens a heartfelt note of thanks and admiration for ‘Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship’ director Bhanu Pratap Singh – Times of India

After months of hard work and long hours on the sets, Vicky Kaushal is happy to be back home and his Instagram posts are proof of the same. While appreciating his newfound free time, the hunk didn’t forget to send out a note of thanks and appreciation to his ‘Bhoot Part One: the Haunted Ship’ director, Bhanu Pratap Singh.

While Vicky made his debut in the horror genre with this scare-fest, Singh made his directorial debut with the same. Admitting that it was a brave move, Vicky thanked his director for guiding and directing him and also revealed a surprising fact that the new dad had not yet held his baby of 2-months due to work commitments.

“Thank You @bhanu.singh.91 for guiding me and directing me so well in a genre so new to me! Not many directors would want to debut with a genre like horror… I admire your courage and your commitment towards your vision,” Vicky said in his note.

He went on to advise him, “Now go and spend time with your newborn baby whom you haven’t yet held in your own arms since the time she’s born 2 months ago in order to get your first Film ready and released. Lots of love brother!”

Vicky also shared a picture of himself enjoying home-made parathas with curd. “A meal at Home after ages,” he captioned the post.

The horror-thriller film ‘Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship’ opened to mixed reviews and had a slow start at the ticket windows with a collection just a little over Rs 5 crore.

This film that revolved around a true story of a ship that washed ashore the Mumbai coast, is a part of a horror franchise.

Produced by Karan Johar, the film also features Bhumi Pednekar and Ashutosh Rana in lead roles. The movie was released across India on February 21, 2020.
