‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ Box office update: Ajay Devgn starrer is all set to beat Marathi film ‘Sairat’ to become the second highest-grossing film in Maharashtra – Times of India

After entering the 100 crore club within a week post-release, the Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ has now started sailing towards the 200 crore nett mark. The film has been earning outstanding business at the box office. As per the latest update the historic drama has garnered Rs. 141 crore nett in nine days.

According to the latest report of, the film saw a huge growth of around 60% on Saturday as it garnered Rs.15.50 crore nett. Overall the film minted Rs.141 crore nett in nine days. The film is hastily inching towards the 200 crore nett mark and will become the biggest nett grosser of Ajay Devgn.

The historic drama continues its insane run in Maharashtra and is going to be the second highest-grossing film in the state after Prabhas starrer ‘Bahubali – The Conclusion’ and will beat the local Marathi film ‘Sairat‘. The Ajay Devgn starrer is creating history in Mumbai circuit and is also heading to be the highest NETT grosser ever in the circuit after ‘Bahubali – The Conclusion’.However, in the North and East wherein Delhi / UP, East Punjab and West Bengal it will not even be in the top 50 films.

The film which also stars Kajol as Savitri Bai and Saif Ali Khan as Udaybhan Singh is based on the life of Maratha Empire’s military leader Tanaji Malusare aka Ajay Devgn who fought the battle of Sinhagad (Kondhana).

The film also stars Sharad Kelkar, Luke Kenny, Neha Sharma and Devdutta Nage in supporting roles.
