According to the latest Box Office India report, ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ which has gone on to earn a total of Rs 38.50 crore in the third week after collecting Rs 2.75 on its third Thursday has now reached a stupendous total of Rs 231.65 crore. With the 250 crore milestone in sight, the period drama looks adamant to dominate the box office in the coming days as well.
The report further suggested that ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ has done a better business than Aamir Khan‘s ‘3 Idiots’ and Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ in Maharashtra. With Rs 115.28 crore (first week), Rs 77.87 crore (second week) and now Rs 38.50 crore from the third, Ajay’s ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ is further stated to end around Rs 260-270 crore approximately. But what’s will the film surpass the collections of Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani‘s ‘Kabir Singh’ is to be seen.
Meanwhile, the film which is based on the life of the Maratha Empire’s military leader Tanaji Malusare also stars Kajol in an integral role. Not only Ajay and Kajol but even Saif Ali Khan has left a lasting impression as the main antagonist, Udaybhan Singh Rathore in ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’. ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ has dominated the box office for nearly three weeks and other films like Deepika Padukone’s ‘Chhapaak’, Varun Dhawan-Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Street Dancer 3D’ and Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Panga’ have failed to excel in the domestic circuit.
