‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ Box Office collection Day 2: Collects Rs 10.75 crore on Saturday – Times of India

As predicted by box office experts, Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan’ performed very well on Saturday. As per a report, the film which is a gay rom-com, collected a whopping net amount of Rs 10.75 at the ticket windows, a leap of 20 per cent from its first day. The report states that if the first day would not have been a holiday owing to Mahashivratri, the film would have collected a nett amount of about Rs 7 crore as opposed to the Rs 9.25 crore that it earned.

As per the report, ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’has collected almost Rs 20 crore nett and is expected to bring in about Rs 30 crore nett during the weekend collectively. It is being said that if the movie does well on Monday, it will work in favour of the makers. While Ayushmann Khurana’s last few ventures have collected around Rs 110-140 crore nett at the ticket windows, the numbers are generally content driven and depend a lot on the holidays that come during their screenings as well. Experts are estimating that if the film can hold on Monday even at 50% or as much as it did on Friday, ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ will do a good job if not great.

Starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar in lead roles, ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ hit the theatres in India on February 21. It is directed by debutant director Hitesh Kewalya and also sees Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao playing pivotal roles.
