RR 29/1 after 3 overs: Ben Stokes announces his arrival with a hat-trick of boundaries as 16 runs come from Trent Boult’s over. There is some intent from Stokes and in company of Steve Smith has a job in hands.

RR 13/1 after 2 overs: James Pattinson strikes early and removes Robin Uthappa who falls afetr playing two gorgeous start. Steve Smith joins Ben Stokes.

RR 5/0 after 1 over: Rajasthan and Rohit Uthappa are off the mark as five runs come from Trent Boult’s first over. Stokes yet to face a delivery.

Alright we are back for the chase and this will take some batting to chase down a mammoth 196. Robin Uthappa and Ben Stokes will open the batting and it will be Trent Boult who is ready to steam in. Here we go!

End of Innings: Mumbai Indians 195/5 after 20 overs

Fantastic batting from Hardik Pandya as he slams a 21-ball 60 which included seven sixes and just two boundaries. Kartik Tyagi took a pounding as Pandya smoked him for 27 runs in the final over. A tall chase for Royals.

MI 186/5 after 19 overs: Jofra Archer strikes and he removes Saurabh Tiwary. The Englishman then takes off the momentum by giving just three runs and finishes with 4-0-31-2.

MI 165/4 after 18 overs: Hardik Pandya is hurting Rajasthan as he has cashed in on the drop by smoking Ankit Rajpoot for 27 runs in an over. Pandya starts with a six over long-on and then smacks three consecutive sixes – over long-off, fine leg and deep square leg. Rahul Tewatia must be kicking himself.

MI 138/4 after 17 overs: Saurabh Tiwary has smoked Jofra Archer for 17 runs with some clean striking. An inside edge to boundary and then Tiwary drives straight down the ground and then pulls Archer over the long leg boundary for a maximum.

MI 121/4 after 16 overs: Oh no! Rahul Tewatia drops Hardik Pandya – his second drop of the night and this will be costly for Rajasthan.

MI 116/4 after 15 overs: Sourabh Tiwary has got a start with a run-a-ball 16 and Pandya is yet to tee off.

MI 108/4 after 14 overs: Hardik Pandya joins Saurabh Tiwary and this is an interesting passage of play. Can Rajasthan get one more here and keep the pressure or will Pandya explode..

MI 101/4 after 13 overs: Shreyas Gopal with a double strike has dented Mumbai as he gets the well-set Suryakumar Yadav and then castles Kieron Pollard to bring Royals back in the match.

Mumbai 94/2 after 12 overs: Rahul Tewatia now applying the brakes as he gives just three runs and Rajasthan with the wicket of Ishan has found a little window to crawl back.

Mumbai 91/2 after 11 overs: Huge moment in the game as Jofra Archer takes a one-handed stunner at third man to removes Ishan Kishan. Kartik Tyagi cannot belive it and neither Ishan as he departs for a 36-ball 37.

Mumbai 89/1 after 10 overs: Both Ishan and Suryakumar are motoring nicely and they are well-set in the middle. Mumbai en route to post huge total.

MI 79/1 after 9 overs: Rahul Tewatia drops Suryakumar Yadav – it was a tough one and the batsman cashes in as he smacks Shreyas Gopal for two boundaries. Rajasthan in need for a breakthrough.

MI 67/1 after 8 overs: Spinners Shreyas Gopal and Rahul Tewatia have put a lid on the scoring as Tewatia concedes five but doesn’t give a boundary. Both batsmen doing in singles currently.

MI 62/1 after 7 overs: Spin being introduced and Shreyas Gopal produces an excellent over giving just three runs.

MI 59/1 after 6 overs: Excellent from Ishan and Suryakumar as they punish Rajpoot for erring in length as Surya first smacks him over shorts fine-leg and then Ishan whack him behind square for a maximum.

MI 45/1 after 5 overs: Suryakumar Yadav gets into the act as he smacks Kartik Tyagi for back-to-back boundaries with a stylish cut. Mumbai motoring nicely.

MI 34/1 after 4 overs: Ishan Kishan attacks and he is thriving under pressure after being hit on the leg. Collects two boundaries and he is dissecting the field with precision.

MI 21/1 after 3 overs: Brilliant over from Archer as he gives just a single and there was a nice little encounter between Archer and Ishan. Ultimately, it’s Archer who turns out to be the winner. Fascinating fast bowling.

MI 20/1 after 2 overs: The fall of De Kock hasn’t put any pressure on Ishan as he whacks Rajpoot for two boundaries as Mumbai is up and running despite losing a wicket inside the PowerPlay.

MI 10/1 after 1 over: Quinton de Kock gets off the mark in style with a fierce pull for a maximum but Jofra Archer gets his man as he castles the southpaw to give Rajasthan an early breakthrough.

The Preview

Mumbai Indians is back to its ruthless best and that is surely not good news for Rajasthan Royals, which desperately needs to win Sunday’s IPL encounter at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.

The absence of captain Rohit Sharma was hardly felt in Mumbai’s annihilation of Chennai Super Kings at Sharjah on Friday. Royals, on the other hand, had an eminently forgettable outing against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Mumbai Indians is on top of the table with 14 points and thus is virtually assured of a place in the playoffs, while Royals has to win this game and the two of its remaining ones. It is a tough ask, yes.
