ICICI Bank launches iBox; now, customers can collect banking debit card, credit card, cheque book and more on all days, 24×7

ICICI Bank has launched what it has termed as a ‘unique self-service delivery facility’ called iBox at  over 50 branches in 17 cities in the country. Through this, ICICI Bank customers can collect their deliverables like debit card, credit card, cheque book and returned-cheques, from a branch close to their home or office, anytime any day in hassle free way. Sometimes customers are not available at home for several reasons and fail to receive their package, for them this facility will come as a blessing.

iBox terminals are currently located in the branches of the cities like Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Navi Mumbai, Surat, Jaipur, Indore, Bhopal, Lucknow, Nagpur, Amritsar, Ludhiana and Panchkula.


Once you go to your nearest bank, you will find the iBox placed outside the premises of the Bank’s branches which are accessible beyond the official hours.  iBox is equipped with an OTP based authentication system through which a customer can access with the help of registered mobile number. This facility is available for 24X7 and on all days including holidays.

The customer can get this facility if the branch, where they want to take delivery of the package containing their banking deliverable, houses an ‘iBox’ terminal. It informs the customer about the current status of their package through SMS and will give every detail from dispatch to delivery. Once customer’s package comes in the iBox, customer will get an SMS along with GPS location of the iBox, OTP and QR code. The customer has to enter his/her registered mobile number and submit the OTP or show the QR code to open the box and access the package.

 The deliverable stays in the ‘iBox’ for seven days during which the customer can collect at any time of the day.

This ensures that the documents stay safe till the time they are collected by their designated recipients.
