Actor Sudheer Babu has been roped in to play the titular role in the biopic of Pullela Gopichand. The film has been directed by Praveen Sattaru of Chandamama Kathalu and PSV Garuda Vega 126.18M. In order to step into the skin of his on-screen character, Sudheer underwent extremely rigorous training to prepare to play Pullela Gopichand, a former Indian badminton player who’s the Chief National Coach for the Indian Badminton team.

Biopic of badminton player PV Sindhu, who created history by winning the first gold for the country at the BWF World Championships, is on the cards. The much-awaited PV Sindhu biopic has been in the making for last two years. Sonu Sood will reportedly play Pullela Gopichand in the film. The movie will depict some important phases in Sindhu’s life, including her childhood.

a biopic on Kodi Ramamurthy Naidu is apparently on the cards. According to the reports, Rana Daggubati will play Kodi Ramamurthy who rose to become one of the top wrestlers in the country and got awarded with the prestigious title ‘Kaliyuga Bheema’ by the King George V of the United Kingdom. To be made in both Telugu and Hindi, the film will chronicle Kodi Ramamurthy’s exciting journey on and off the court.

Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra, starring Suriya in lead, is based on real incidents and charts the story of GR Gopinath, founder of Air Deccan. The film that also sees Dr M Mohan Babu, Aparna Balamurali, Paresh Rawal, Urvashi, Karunas, Vivek Prasanna, Krishna Kumar and Kaali Venkat in pivotal roles. GV Prakash Kumar has scored music for this flick while Niketh Bommi handled the camera.
Directed by Kabir Khan, 82 is the biopic of cricketer Kapil Dev who captained the Indian cricket team that won the 1983 Cricket World Cup. Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh reprises the great captain in the history of Indian cricket. Touted to be a sports drama, 83 traces the events of India’s historic win at the 1983 World Cup. Akkineni Nagarjuna of Annapurna Studios will be presenting the Telugu version of 83. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Jiiva and Harrdy Sandhu in pivotal roles.
Handsome hunk Rana Daggubati will be seen in a period drama, titled 1945, which is set in the backdrop of pre-partition India. Rana will be seen essaying the role of a soldier of Subhash Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army (INA). Regina Cassandra will be paired opposite Rana in the period drama. She plays the role of a Chettiar girl who is supposed to get married to Rana. The Tamil-Telugu bilingual has been directed by Sathya Siva and bankrolled by SN Rajarajan. The movie also features Sathyaraj, Nasser and RJ Balaji in crucial roles.
