This was soon followed by news of Priyanka Chopra being possibly roped in for the cast of the Keanu Reeves starrer Matrix 4. But these are not the only Indian actresses who are making us proud in Hollywood. 02/7Deepika Padukone in the Hindi remake of ‘The Intern’
After completing Chhappak, Deepika Padukone wasted no time in announcing her next, the Hindi remake of the 2015 Hollywood hit ‘The Intern’ starring Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway. This will also be Deepika’s first ever collaboration with veteran actor Rishi Kapoor. The film is slated for a 2021 release, however, the exact date has not yet been announced. Both, Deepika as well as Rishi shared the great news through their personal social media accounts and fans cannot wait to watch them share screen space.
03/7Priyanka Chopra in Hollywood’s Matrix 4
While this news has not yet been confirmed by Priyanka Chopra herself, reports are rife that the international star has been almost finalised to join the cast of ‘Matrix 4’. If reports are true, PeeCee will share screen space with Keanu Reeves, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Neil Patrick Harris and Carrie-Anne Moss in the sc-fi series. However, nothing is yet being revealed about Priyanka’s role in the film. Matrix 4 will be directed by Lana Wachowski and is being produced by Warner Bros and Village Roadshow Pictures.
04/7Aishwarya Rai in Pink Panther
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is another Indian who made us proud. She starred in the 2009 Hollywood film Pink Panther 2 alongside Steve Martin and Emily Mortimer. This was a sequel of Pink Panther which released in 2006. Directed by Harald Zwart, the film saw Aishwarya in a fairly large sequence in the climax of the movie, much to the surprise of her Indian fans. She actually turned out to be the main villain in the plot.
05/7Mallika Sherawat in ‘The Myth’
Mallika Sherawat was one of the early birds when it comes to making it big in the international cinema space. The beautiful actress bagged her first international film back in 2005 as she signed on for The Myth. In this movie, Mallika shared screen space with none other than Jackie Chan and we cannot be more proud of her. The martial arts based fantasy-adventure film was helmed by Stanley Tong and also featured Tony Leung Ka-fai and Kim Hee-sun.
06/7Parineeti in remake of ‘The Girl On The Train’
And just like her Mimi Didi, even Parineeti Chopra will soon have a Hollywood connect now. She will be soon seen in the upcoming Hindi remake of the 2016 American movie The Girl On The Train. The mystery thriller will be directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and will release in 2020. It is being produced under the banner Reliance Entertainment. Both the films are based on Paula Hawkins’ 2015 novel by the same name and Pari’s movie too will be called the same. The American version of the film starred Emily Blunt in the lead role.
07/7Kajol and Kareena Kapoor Khan in remake of ‘Stepmom’ titled We Are Family
Directed by Siddharth Malhotra, Kajol and Kareena Kapoor Khan starred along with Arjun Rampal in the official remake of the 1998 film Stepmom. It was titled We Are Family and released in 2010. The drama was produced by Karan Johar. Stepmom featured Julia Roberts, Susan Sarandon, and Ed Harris and the film won many awards owing to the outstanding performances.
