Box office update: Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’ earns 2.75-3 crore while ‘Jojo Rabbit’, ‘Happy Hardy Heer’ and others fail to pull the audience on day 1 – Times of India

After impressing his fans with Ajay Devgn‘s ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’, Saif is all set to rule our hearts with his next ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’. The film hit the big screens yesterday and it is one of the highly anticipated films of the year. The actor is essaying the role of a Casanova who is suddenly faced with the reality that he has a teenage daughter. The film has created a buzz due to its unique storyline. According to the latest report on, the film 2.75-3 crore nett on its first day.

According to the report on, the collections are better than the last Saif Ali Khan‘s last film ‘Lal Kaptaan‘. The film before ‘Lal Kaptaan’ was ‘Baazaar’ (2018) which opened in the same range as ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’ so this film has to trend much better than ‘Baazaar’ as that film did not do well at all. Apart from this ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’, there were other releases too, including ‘Jojo Rabbit‘, ‘Gul Makai‘ and others.

‘Jawaani Jaaneman’ marks the big Bollywood debut of Pooja Bedi‘s daughter Alaya F. While Saif plays her father, Tabu essays the role of Alaya’s mother. In an interaction with IANS, the newbie opened up about the, She said: “Initially, I was intimidated by them but they never made me feel I am their junior. Both of them are extremely motivating and inspiring. There are loving people. There’s so much to learn from them.”
