01/6The film provides wholesome entertainment to the audience and also acts as an eye-opener for society
Naga Shaurya’s new film Aswathama, which is inspired by a real incident, is all set to hit the screens on January 31. The new fictionalised true-crime film promises to take the audience on a thrilling ride. The film has been making waves ever since the first teaser was unveiled last month. The film’s high octane, action-oriented trailer with a futuristic look and impressive appearances have created a considerable buzz among the audience. After a lacklustre Nartanasala, all eyes were on Aswathama, and we have to say it won’t disappoint you.
But if you’re not convinced, here are five reasons why you should watch it…
How often do you find a film which deals with the issues of woman safety and violence? The film highlights incidents that happen every day to women in our country. It’s based on an actual event that happened to a friend of Naga Shaurya in Mumbai. With this film, the makers are trying to spread a message of ending violence against women. This film is made out of facts that some chose to reveal. The film will not only provide entertainment to the audience but also make them aware of gender-based violence and sexual and gender-based violence.
No matter how strong the script, if the actors fail to deliver, then any film can flop. As per the trailer, Naga Shaurya, Mehreen Pirzada, Prince Cecil and Krishna Murali Posani did justice to their roles. For the first time, Mehreen is sharing screen space with Naga Shaurya in the film. Naga Shaurya, during an interview, said that there’s also a reason the villain is not shown in the promotions. A national-award-winning Bengali actor is playing the baddie, and sure he’ll win another award for the film. It will be exciting to watch how Shaurya depicts his character in the movie.
04/6Perfect combination of action and thriller
Aswathama explores violence against women and how women should face the circumstance they face in their life. The film provides wholesome entertainment to the audience and also acts as an eye-opener for society. Rape and murders in small towns and cities are still not addressed in the country, which is a significant issue. The film’s teaser and trailer hint it to be a high-octane film that revolves around the protagonist looking for a serial killer on the loose.
05/6Based on a true incident
The hard-hitting crime action-drama, directed by debutant Ramana Teja, is inspired by a real-life event that happened in Mumbai. The lead pair during a recent interview revealed that Aswathama is inspired by a brutal incident that occurred in the life of Naga Shaurya’s friend sister in Mumbai. When he shared the idea with Naga Shaurya, he said that it must be made in Telugu, for a larger audience.
06/6Music by Sricharan Pakala
What adds more to Naga Shaurya’s infectious performance in the film is Sricharan Pakala’s composition. Sricharan Pakala, who is known for composing music for films such as Kshanam, Guntur Talkies, PSV Garuda Vega, Goodachari, Idam Jagath, Evaru, and Chanakya had been roped in to compose music for this flick. The makers released a couple of songs, which have already become a big hit with listeners.
